First of all I just want to point out that most of the respiratory system is cavitys and tunnels the only real organ involved is the lungs (in a way the lungs is the whole thing) The following is a list of "vocab words" you may need to know in order to fully understand the respiratory system.
1. Bronchi: The tracts along the whole system.
2. Alveoli: Speacial parts inside your lungs that hold the oxygen in and trade it for CO2 from blood cells then pushes out the CO2, then repeats.
3.Turbinate: Long narrow curved cavitys within the nose that redirects the airflow from upward to downward, the cause beteween congestion and decongestion varying on the climate. (three layers)
4. Larynx: The "voice box"
5. Pharynx: A part of your throat that directs food into the digestive system and air into the respiratory system. A key part indeed it prevents your lungs from filling up with coco puffs.
6. Nasopharynx: located in the far back of the mouth just before the pharynx and its always open.
7. Oropharynx: The "bouncer" for the Naropharynx and especally the pharynx. its a wall located at the top of your mouth that seal of the food fromm reaching the nasopharynx untill you have enough oxygen to get by the swallowing process.
8. Lasyngopharnx: parts of the thoat that conects to the esophagus.
